Looking for information on my grandmother's family. Her name was Lena Murray Byrd, born June 17, 1911 in Vermillion County, IN. Her parents were Charlie (Charles?) Murray, born c. 1885 in KY and Ellie (Ella? Mary Ellen?) Anderson, born c. 1895 in IL. I know nothing of Grandma Murry's family other than she had a brother named Dewey, born c. 1900, living with her and Granddad in 1920 in Edgar County, IL. Granddad Murray's father was William Murry, born c. 1954 in KY. His father was born in TN and mother in VA. This much I have obtained from census records. William's wife was Rebecca ? born c. 1856 in KY. William and Rebecca had two sons who served in WWI...Wm who was KIA and Alonzo. They also had two daughters who died young.
