I am researching my Tucson, Arizona, families, the Dailys and the Gallegos. My great-grandfather's name was Carlos Armenta Gallego, born about 1890? in Tucson, son of Ramon Gallego, born in Tucson, and Manuela Armenta, born in Sonora, Mexico. Carlos died on October 15,1928, in Tucson, in a train accident. He had married Stella Daily about 1913? in Tucson and had the following children: Elmer Gallego, Eddie Gallego, Ray Gallego, Martha Rose (Lela) Gallego, Betty Gallego, and Stella (Telly) Gallego. My great-great grandfather is Louis Bradford Daily who married Sofia Spofford on January 17, 1891, in Tucson, and had the following children: Stella Daily, born July 22, 1894, and died October 1,1988; Edward S. Daily born 1896; Grace Daily (Montano); Alice Daily (Benetis); Louis Bradford Daily, Jr., and Mollie Daily (Harkness) in Tucson, Arizona. Several members of my grandma's family including an Edward Daily; sister, Stella (Telly) Gallego; Aunt Grace (Daily) Montano, and a couple of others? died in a fatal truck accident on the way to California in Ontario? around 1939-1940?. I would greatly appreciate any information about the accident and of course the family lines.
