Searching for informationon the Zachariah Wood family (1765-1825) of Rutherford Co, NC, his son Randolph E Wood, b abt 1800 NC died-abt 1850 in Spartanburg Sc or Cherokee Co, GA. Randolph Wood is in Rutherford Co NC Census 1830, Spartanburg Co, SC in 1850 and his widow Elizabeth Wood is in 1860 Cherokee Co, GA. Randolph and Elizabeth Wood's son Richard R Wood, born 1849, probably in SC was my great grandfather. He was in Marion County, Alabama by 1870, married within the year to Julia Frances Weatherly, daughter of Andrew and Aseneth Weatherly.
