I am searching for the place of origin for Hieronymus Glantz/Jeremiah Claunch. He arrived with his family in Philadelphia, PA Sept. 23, 1732 aboard The Adventure from Rotterdam. This name is also found as Claunch/Clonch/Clontz, etc. In Mecklenburg Co., NC it became Clontz about the time of the Rev. War. His son John Michael Glantz d 1807 in NC and Jeremiah Clontz, John Michael's son bought his land. The court records show the name as Glantz/Glaunch/Claunch/Clontz.
