I am researching the ancestry of my great grandfather John McPeake who appears to have come from County Derry. His father (stated on his marriage certificate in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1877) was Bernard McPeake, a farmer. John appears to have had a brother Bernard (known as Barney?) and it seems the brothers married two sisters - Roseanna (John) and Mary Jane Latimer (Bernard). They were both miners in the Coxlodge area and John later lived in Amble until his death by drowning in late 1901. I am trying to establish who were John and Bernard's parents and siblings, and where in Derry they came from.
