Searching for a Miss Harper whose father was from Harpers Ferry area. She married a Mr. Powell. Their daughter Mary Powell born 1803 somewhere in NC, lived in Sugar Valley, Gordon County, Georgia, died on Aug 12, 1883 in Everett Spring, Floyd County, GA. Mary married Jesse C. Brown born 1792 or 1793 somewhere in NC maybe the old Washington County area now TN, died Feb 1850 per the 1850 Cass County (now Gordon County), Georgia Mortality Census. Jesse Brown was 57 years old. At bottom is list of his children's names/dates/places. Names of Jesse's siblings and parents unknown and unconfirmed. He is somehow closely related to Governor Joseph Emerson Brown of Atlanta, GA, son of Mackey Brown born 1797. Jesse & Mary had several children born in NC then after son James W. Brown was born in Sept 1834, the family moved to Georgia and they had a few more children born in "Cherokee County, Georgia" which may have at the town of Woodstock, near Canton. Then, they lived at Baugh Mountain Community in Snake Creek District, Cass County, now named Sugar Valley, Gordon County, Georiga.
