I am a Female adoptee-Born 10/22/1979 at the Columbia Hospital for Women in DC. My adoption was finalized in Maryland. I have alot of info that was given to me about my family history...except for names. I am going to indicate here the description of both my parents...hopefully I can find them. My birth mother is referred to in my paperwork as Miss J. My name for adoption puposes was Diane Jordan. They gave me that name bacause my birth mothers initials were D.J. The paperwork indicates that she was 20 years old when she had me at 1:27a.m. on October 22, 1979 at Colombia Hospital for Women in Washington, DC. She was of the catholic religion, and the 6th born of 11 children. Her physical description was listed as 5'7", 140-145 lbs, caucasion of Swedish-Irish descent, wavy, sandy blonde hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. It was said that her family lived in the DC area. My birthfather was referred to in my paperwork as Mr. H. He was 19 years old and a senior in high school when I was concieved. He lived in Ohio with his mom and step-dad and had 2 older siblings. His physical description was listed as 5' 6", 150 lbs., straight brown hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion. He was caucasion with German descent and of the Protestant religion. I do have more information about both of them...not much more. I have had a wonderful life and I want to thank my birth mother for giving me a chance to live. I don't want her to feel guilty in any way. I feel that she was some what forced to give me up because of the beliefs of her family. My mom was unable to concieve any children and I was always a blessing for her.
