I am searching for my wife's ancestors, as well as mine. My wifes relatives are of mixed ancestry, but trying to locate any relation from Hanging Dog Creek NC, of Cherokee lineage, that descend from "Bird Woman" possibly spelled Byrd. Also of Decker lineage, other names were Flahive and Brandes. We are at a complete halt in this and any help is appreciated. I am also seeking my ancestry, Scottish descent, from the Prince Edward Island area of Canada, Matheson is Mom's Maiden name.
