I am seeking information on my Daugherty/Doherty ancestors. Patrick and Margaret Gaffney Doherty came to USA around 1847 or so with their young son CHarles. They settled in Boston MA . There Katherine was born in 1849. From there they settled in Oxford Butler County OH around 1854. Patrick was a farmer. They had the following children The Daugherty Children Margaret and Pat had ten children which 7 survived at the time of her death. 1. .Charles was born around 1844-47 in Dublin ,Ireland or MA. He married Rachel Luzader/Lusader on November 30,1876 in Newton Co ,IN. 2. Mary was born around 1848 and died of chill fever on May 10,1857 3. Catherine “Kate” was born July 1849 in Boston ,MA . She died on Dec. 11,1919 in Hamilton,Oh Butler Co. She married Nathaniel L Hedges on April 20,1876 in Butler Co OH. 4. Thomas was born in 1852 and died in 1872. He is buried at St Mary’s cemetery in Hamilton,OH. 5. Anna was born July 1854 in Butler Co. OH. She married Henry Glins on Jan. 11,1876 . 2nd married John b Schrichte of Rushville, IN Oct.17,1911 . 6. Margaret was born Sept. 1856 . She died after 1930 in Indianapolis ,Marion Co. IN. She married Benjamn E. (Bernard Barney ) Nabor/Naber/Neighbor May 20,1879. Benjamin was born in Sept. 1850. 7. John was born around 1858. In 1910 he lived in Memphis ,TN and in 1919 he lived in Alabama. 8. Mary was born Feb. 23,1864 (census say 1860) in Butler Co. ,OH. She died Oct. 4,1932. She married Joseph W. Myers Feb.7,1906 in Oxford,OH. Joseph W. Myers was born in Hamilton, Ohio, 9. James H. was born Dec. 14, 1865 in Butler County,OH and died April 18, 1908. He married Hannah (Johanna) Manning ,daughter of Pud and Johanna Manning before April 7,1891. I would appreciate any information on this Doherty/Daugherty family.
