Searching for the parents of Mary Painter, born 1864 in Mason County, WV, married Joseph Remember Goff in 1897. He was born abt. 1859, son of William and Mildred (Craigo) Goff. Family tradition has William getting himself shot before Joseph was born (thus the "Remember" in his name). Mildred is a widow with 4 young children on 1860 census, by 1870 census she is married to Richard Lanham. Possibilities for Mary (Painter) Goff's parents are either Marion & Julia (Persinger) Painter or (more likely)Harrison & Ursula (Persinger) Painter. Any help will be more than appreciated.
