Query Text: |
Seeking descendant of Rebecca E. Tannehill who married a man with suname Holland. She was born ca. 1838 in Maryland, and her parents, Carlton and Elizabeth Smith (White) Tannehill came to Missouri during the late 1840s. Rebecca had two brothers who fought in the Civil War, as well as a sister who married a cousin named Smith and the two of them remained on their parents place, farming the land, after the Civil War. Rebecca and her husband lived in Charles Co., Missouri, and had several daughters (names not known to me). My grandmother, daughter of Rebecca's sister, Sarah used to call them "the Holland girls." People frequently called Rebecca 'Becky' while they called her sister 'Sallie.' | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
