Looking for parents of Israel Cummings, born about 1814 in perhaps New Jersey. One of the first settlers of Nemaha County, Nebraska. He was married to Hester Josephine Brittingham. The couple was married in Peoria, Illinois. I'm from the line of one of their children, Calvin Augustus Cummings. I believe Israel had a second wife named Eliza. I saw in one Census Record that Israel's parents were also born in New Jersey but no clue as to what town or county. Please help! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
