Fox b. 1822 in Otsego Co., NY, d. 18 Nov. 1894, son of John and Lovisa (Jackson) Fox. Ira m. 1st Betsy Herd, b. ?, d. 3 June 1858. Betsy was buried at Calhoun (or Lamb) Cemetery on the Abram farm, Brookfield, Madison Co., NY. The first three children were by 1st m., Ira and Lorinda are buried at Taylor Cemetery, Cortland Co., NY, they resided most of their lives on lot 58, Taylor, NY children by 1st m. 1. Lorica J. Have you anything on where Lovisa Jackson was born and who her parents were and where from? Also I have in my notes that Lovisa had a son Isaac Warner. Can you tell me anything about her son and first husband Mr. Warner. Do you know where Isaac lived and died. John Fox’s first marriage to Mehitabel Welch gave them six children–Daniel, John, Mehitabel, Ransom, Dimis, Betsy In his application for his Rev. War pension he lists these children-Name of oldest child unknow-Diadema-Sameuel-Elias-Amira. Do you know who the mother of these children were? Lovisa must have been his third wife. I have heard the story that when John died Lovisa was left in very poor financial straits, and it was necessary for her to bind out the four sons. My g. father was bound out to a Mr. Yoder. Have you heard this story for the four sons? I am so anxious to know the family history and to get all gathered together I hope I am not asking to much of your and I thank you for just any help you can give.
