Searching for birth sisters/family. File# A-26,096 Name at birth: David DOB July 24, 1958, Detroit, Wayne County, at Providence Hospital. I believe my birth mother lived in Detroit/southwest at the time of my birth. My birth parents were not married. Private adoption. My adoptive parents took legal steps to formally adopt me before my birth- handled through my adoptive parents attorney and the Wayne County Court system. My birth mother released me for adoption through the Sarah Fisher Home/Orphanage a few weeks after my birth. I spent a short time at Sarah Fisher Home and was placed in foster care until the court legalized my adoption. I have two sisters (or half), ages 4 and 5 at the time of my birth. The 4 year old might have been named Catherine or Cathy or something similar. My sisters/half-sisters were also adopted out at, or around, the same time. My 4 year old sister stayed with my adoptive parents for approximately two weeks when my parents took me home - October-November 1958. Birth mother: 26 at the time of my birth. 5'3", 120lbs. Light brown hair, blue eyes. Catholic. Completed 9th grade and was employed doing clerical work. Had 3 siblings - two sisters who were 30 and 24, and one brother who was 21 at the time of my birth. Irish, English and German decent. Birth father: Age unknown/not given. 5'6", 165lbs. Dark hair and eyes. Protestant. High school grad, one year college. Employed. Was in the army or had been in the army at one time. Irish, English, French and German decent. It is not known if he had any other children prior to my birth.
