We are looking for any information on our Maternal Grandfather's parents. WILLIAM & LAURA MULLINS SMITH who died as a result of a buggy accident near FAIRFAX (CITY), OSAGE COUNTY, INDIAN TERRITORY ON 03JUN1904. William died instantly and Laura died @3-4 days later. They left 4 orphaned children, the YOUNGEST being our Grandfather HOOD SMITH who was about 6 at the time. The four younger SMITH children; GEORGE, ELLA, LILLIE & JOHN HOOD were taken to the home of their elder married sister MARTHA SMITH FRAZER/FRASER(?) who lived in KAY COUNTY, INDIAN TERRITORY. We believe all of the children were born in TENNESSEE. Other children were MARTHA, WILLIAM "BILL", JEFFERSON & EMMA (married a HARON). ELLA married a HARGRAVES, & LILLIE married a JOHNSON and HOOD married our Grandmother MARY EDNA JOHNSON. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
