My ancestor has been listed as Mancel, Marcel, Martsel and Michael Baranowski in several different documents. He was born near Klecko, Prussia in 1842 and moved to Kouts, Indiana in 1870. Supposedly he worked on the railroad. He had two chidlren in Prussia (Geroge and William) After moving to the US he had two more (Frank and Joseph) He died in @1881 and in 1885 his wife Mary Ann Walcoski married a George Richmond. They relocated to Oxford Junction, IA in about 1890. Questions: 1) Which of the first names listed is most likely his real first name? I assume Michael is the Americanized version. 2) I can find no record of his death or burial around Kouts. Any ideas? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
