Surname(s): |
CLARK : HILL | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Query Text: |
Ira Clark b. abt. 1838 in NY and Rose/Rosa Bell (Hill) Clark b. abt 1861 in Iowa. Census record show Ira's father and mother both born in NY. Rose/Rosa (Hill)'s father and mother both born in Iowa. I can only assume at this time that Ira could have been married before as on the 1880 census his age is listed as 42 and Rose is listed as 19. Children are Eli D (my line)and Goldie/Golda E. Clark. Also listed as living in the household in 1880 was Olive ASHPANGH age 13 but no relationship was given. Ira died Jan. 12, 1897 (per the Fairbury Gazette, dated Saturday Jan. 16, 1897). The 1900 census shows Rosa, son Eli D and daughter Golda E. Clark living 3 houses down from Josiah Clark b. Aug 1859 NY age 41 and living next door to Ira Clark b.Oct 1877 NE age 22. I am wondering as to the relationship between the Clark families listed here. If anyone can unravel this mystery any help would be appreciated and info shared in turn. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
