 Seeking Choctaw descendants of Jeremiah Carney, signer of Doak's & Dancing Rabbit CR Treaties, lived on Robinson Rd., Madison Co. MS as well as in other MS counties. Jeremiah d. early l848 in MS and most of his children emigrated to I.T., filing inheritance papers in Van Buren, AR in l849.First wife, Emmahka, remained in MS;children who emigrated: Harris Carney, Martha Carney Nelson Homer, Jonas Carney, Daniel Carney, Cornelius Carney, Jemimah (Mima) Carney Taylor, Lila (Lily) Carney, second wife Ahchehoke and son Forbis Carney. Some descs. known are: Wm. Harrison, Isham Christy, Alvin Clark & Louise Gardner of Atoka; Wallace Carney(heir of Daniel Harrison) & Emaline Timmons and John & Morris Carney all of Nashoba; Betsy Battiest, Sofa Robinson, Nancy Wilson - more descs. Is there anyone out there who can help me in finding information on Jeremiah and where his children settled as well as present descs. who have knowledge of Jeremiah?
