I was born Debra Mae Halverson(my mom's maiden name) in Eugene, Oregon in March of 1954. My mother was an unmarried young woman at the time. My mother passed away in 1999 and never told me that the father that I thought was my father for over 50 was not my birth father. I just found out by accident a few days ago. In July of 1955 my mother married a man who adopted me and gave me his name. I don't know for sure what year he adopted me. He passed away in 1993. I never knew he was not my birth father until recently. My mother (I believe) met my birth father somewhere in the Newport, or surrounding area of Newport, Oregon sometime in 1953. My mom may have just graduated high school at that time. My mom's sister said I looked just like him, but she did not remember his name. (I don't really believe that she doesn't remember) So, as you can see, I need some help with this. Hope someone out there can help me with some information. Right now, I'm mainly curious about my birth father and would like a medical history of him for myself and daughter and granddaughters. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
