ROLL CALL: LAWSON / YATES (WV/KY/VA/TX/MI/LA/WI) Looking for anyone who can communicate stories or information regarding my stepmother Juanita Henrietta LAWSON (born 1929 Williamson, Mingo Co WV; died 1998 Galveston Co TX) (married Landon YATES, he born 1921 Pikeville, Pike Co KY, he died 1993 Galveston Co TX). Hoping to compile personal stories and heritage / lineage into a "book" for my family. Anyone wishing to share history with me is certainly welcome to have their story included. Listing here all I know of who Juanita's relatives are: father, deceased, James LAWSON. stepmother Alice LAWSON. Lastly of Michigan. Sister: Donna (LAWSON), lastly of WV. Sister: Grethel LAWSON Cole, I have her location and know her. Husband: my dad, Landon YATES, s/o Amos YATES / (1) Martha MCCOY, Pike Co KY, (2) Roxie YATES Juanita became my stepmother when I was age-5or6, and was also my good friend for the next 40 years. She always talked very little about herself and wasn't ever expressive about who she may have known, or any experiences she may have had. Because Juanita was just the most perfect stepmother very nearly all of my life, I am interested in learning more about how she got to be just the most perfect stepmother.
