I am searching for any information about my gg uncle's wife. His name was Dr. Elisha G. Johnson, born NC, Major during Civil War, moved to FL in 1865, became a GOP State Senator, signed the 1868 FL constitution, remained a senator until 1875 when he was killed by the KKK. All I know is he married Eliza J. from New Hampshire while he was in FL. They married around 1870. She evidently remained in FL after his death and never remarried. They had large land holdings but no heirs. We think she lived until the early 1930's. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
