I am looking for anyone that might have information for me relative to my greatgrandfather William Agustus Allen, Born 3/16/1870 Ross County, Ohio. Fathers name James Nelson Meyers, born unknown. Mothers names Elizabeth Minerva Allen. James & Elizabeth were married in Ross County, Oh on 5/24/1860. They had a daughter born in 1873 with the last name of Meyers, have not been able to figure out why William's last name is Allen when his parents were married at the time of his birth.
