Sammie Hayes (born: 08/21/1920 - died: 04/10/2005)was married to first wife: Eva E. Benard (born: 1918 - died: 1978)and second wife: Mary Lee Burchette (born: 01/31/1933 - still living). Sammie Hayes's mother was Nora B. Watson-Hayes. She married her second husband (last name Benard) and third husband - Clarence Kirkland (born: 1881 and died: 1959). I am trying to located any information on Sammie Hayes's father and grand father & mother. RUMOR is that my dad (Sammie Hayes) father's name was Buck Hayes Sr and dad's half brother Buck Hayes Jr. was killed in Biloxi, MS stealing gasoline and buried in Potter's field in Bilouxi, MS.
