Jeremiah Shreeves (1819-1889) was born in Darke County, Ohio. His wife Mary Daniels (1834- ) was born in Auglaize County, Ohio. They and their children John (1855- ) and Barbara (1859-1892) were listed in the 1860 census as residents of Cold Water, Butler County, Iowa. In September, 1861, Jeremiah Shreeves enlisted in the 3rd Independent Battery, Iowa Light Artillery. After the war, Jeremiah Shreeves lived in Arkansas, where he remarried. His first wife Mary and their children moved to Michigan and appear in some records, including the 1880 census in Alpena County. I am descended from Jeremiah Shreeves and Mary Daniels.
