Researching John A. ADAMS, born in South Carolina in 1817. I'm looking for his mother and father. I believe he had a sister named Elizabeth who was born 1814. John moved to Gilmer County, Georgia. His wife's name was Mary Francis (CHANDLER) and according to the 1850 U.S. Census, Elizabeth was living with them. John was a farmer. John and Mary had nine sons, James H.(1850)...John D.(1852)...William P.(1853)...Bethel Q.(1858)...Marshal K.(1861)...Lewis M.(1862)...Robert K.(1864)...Chapel L.(1867)...Thomas L.(1868) and one daughter, Mary A.R.(1871).
