Seeking descendants of James & Jessie (Janet nee MacFarlane)TYSON married Christchurch NZ 2nd June 1865 at the home of Robert MacFarlane. Daughter Annie born in 1866 married Thomas McFadden. Annie died April 1950.Their son Joseph also married a Martha McFadden. Two other children died as infants Jessie Dec. 1870 William Oct 1869. On James 1886 death certificate it lists 3 other living daughters - their names I have yet to establish. James was born 1834 Cleator/Whitehaven area of Cumberland to William & Ann (nee Dixon and emigrated to NZ about 1857/58. Christchurch electoral rolls for 1860's show a Joseph Tyson whom I presume may have been James' brother residing in Chch. There is also reference to Henry Edward Tyson in 1860 Chch Militia As I have been unable to turn up any passenger lists with the Tyson name I have not been able to confirm they are part of the same family. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
