I think my gggg+ grandfather, james blackley may have come from your county and may have married the daughter of an Alexander Snelling who brother may have been Aquilla. They moved to North Carolina, Granville Country in about 1748 and had a land grant from the Earl of Granville. Anyone out there know anything to help track him or them down?
