James Irvine Kirkpatrick (born 1834 Scotland-died 1907 Idaho) and his wife Anna McMaster (1838- ) lived in Clare County, Michigan from about 1885 to 1894. Previously they lived in Isabella County, Michigan and Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario (where the name was spelled Kilpatrick). Some of their children also resided in Clare County. They were: Ephraim Kirkpatrick (c1860- ); John Kirkpatrick (1861-1909) and wife Sarah Badgerow; David Kirkpatrick (1862-1947) and wife Alice Leach; James Kirkpatrick (c1867- ) and wife Emma Roberts; Frederick Kirkpatrick (1872-1963) and wife Carrie Bauder; and George Kirkpatrick (1875-1937) and wife Nora Fishley.
