I was born on March 3, 1971 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia, Ontario at 5:47am. My birth name was Laurie Anne L. I am searching for my birth mother. She was 31 at the time she had me. She was born in Ontario in September 1939. She had one older brother, who at the time of my birth was living in Australia. She had five other kids when I was born and could not afford to keep me. My 1/2 siblings were: Sister born September 1957/ Brother born August 1960/ Brother born November 1961/ Sister born August 1963/ Sister born September 1965. Apparently none of them knew anything about the pregnancy and subsequent birth of me. I was the product of a relationship that started after she seperated from her husband. In July of 1970 she learned she was pregnant and her divorce became final. Her boyfriend (my father) went back to his wife, from whom he was seperated at the time. According to what information I have, my birth father was Native and also had a child with his wife at the time I was born. He grew up in a large family of four brothers and four sisters. My birth mother stated that he was of the "Chewsnichie" reserve. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
