Peter MEEHAN immigrated with spouse Mary TULLY from Irl.Appear on 1851 Scotland census, Glasgow area with four children born in Ireland and two in Scotland. Estimate that he immigrated to Scotland ca. 1845. Son Patrick b. ca, 1840 married Mary GALLACHER in Scotland, dtr. of Cornelius Gallacher, a farmer and Mary Brennan who probably had remained in Ireland. Patrick and his brother Edward immigrated with their families ca. 1880-1881 to Pennsylvania, U.S. Lived mostly in Wilkes Barre, Luzerne County, PA. James CAVANAUGH imm from Irl. ca. 1846. Married Mary (nee Cavanaugh?)had 12 children. Lived in Honesdale, PA. Mary d. 1904, James 1913 James Hugh DEGNAN & wife Mary RYAN imm. from Irl. to U.S. before 1863: children all born in Pa., lived in Wilkes Barre and Hazleton. Son, Martin married Margaret Meehan, he was killed in a mining accident in 1913; she raised their 9 children in Wilkes Barre, PA. Daniel MULHERIN m. Mary McGLINCHY married in 1860, Hazleton, PA. Both from Irl. 12 children. Lived in Hazleton and Wilkes Barre, Luzerne Cty, PA. Mary died in 1903, Daniel in 1908.
