I am trying to locate William Z. Carter who was married to Lavinia ? They were parents of Homer V., William Adam, and Mary Jane Carter. William Adam was my great grandfather and my father was named after him. He died in 1905. In addition, his father and sister attended his funeral in the bitter cold and contracted pneumonia and both of them died shortly afterward. Newspaper article said they came from Valdosta GA to attend the funeral. All three children of William Z. and Lavinia married Chastains. William Adam married India Priscilla Chastain and Homer married Hattie Chastain. I am unsure which Chastain Mary Jane married. Any help is much appreciated. In addition India and William Adam's son was Alton Adam who married Lucy Mae White. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
