I am looking for information about a Cherokee woman who was born in 1799 somewhere in North Carolina. It is possible she may have been in a tribe led by a man named Calf Killer, a tribe that ended up in the Van Buren county area of Tennessee. This tribe may have been located near Warren County, NC. Her name was Mourning, Morning, Morning Dove, Morning Star. . .I have come across many variations. She married into the Medley family of Tennessee, was widowed and married a man named Larkin Talley.
