Seeking data on an Indian Village @l848 on Petticocowa Creek in which half- Choctaw Jeremiah Carney's widow, Emmahka, was living on 3 cultivated acres of land with 5 in the family. This information secured from a document sent to me entitled, "Indians Owning Farms", believe this document may have been taken from The American State Papers...important to my research to know how to access the census/land tax information on Emmahka's land and identity of those living in her household. Is there anyone who can help me? Also, need info. on Arthur Carney, Choctaw Trader and businessman of Pierre Bayou (in l800's) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
