JOHN BROWN, wife RACHEL (PEDEN) 2 children arrived in Eugene,Vermillion Co. IN about 1834. They had 9 children born in IN. They are shown in 1850 US census and in 1860 before they moved to Osage TWP, Fontana,Miami Co. KS. Part of their children remained in Vermillion Co, IN. ALEXANDER P BROWN & wife SARAH F (BRUNER) moved to OSAGE TWP in MIAMI CO, KS in 1857. 1870 census shows oldest son,as (Abram) but all ages match for ALEXANDER P BROWN & HIS FAMILY, his father JOHN BROWN & brother ANDREW all living together. What happened to G Grandma RACHEL (PEDEN) BROWN. She is not buried in the Fontana cemetery with the rest of the family. I can not find her in IN cemetery either?
