Seek parentage and any siblings of SUSANNAH HARRELL, born 14 January 1784, died 11 June 1840 Butler Co., AL. Married November 1808 to JOHN NORTHCUTT s/o William & Elizabeth (Stewart) Northcutt of Darlington District, SC. Not known where Susannah was born (SC?/NC? elsewhere?). She evidently is not part of the Harrell family group found in Darlington who migrated from Dobbs area. May be some Indian heritage from Susannah according to Guion Miller applications of her great-grandchildren. Susannah's known children were: Elizabeth (m.James J. Terrell), William (m1)Nancy Moore; m2) Mary Jane (Presley)Atkinson), Unnamed Son (d.young), Hannah (m. Hobbs or Hughes), Sophia Anne (m.Hobbs or Hughes), Sarah McKendry (d.young), Thirza (m.Charles W. Beasley), Nancy Marina (m.John Presley), Juda (m.Andrew Lawson Moore), Susannah M.(m.Calvin Delaney Williams). After Susannah died John Northcutt remarried in 1842 to Ann Wade Menees and had: John Goloway (d.Civil War, unmarried); Henriette Frances (m.John James Manning), Ann Wade (m1)Samuel B. Brooks; m2)James Madison Johnson), William Dawson Menees (m1)Sarah Ann Morris; m2) Mrs. Marguerite T. Wade), Ellen Eleanor (m1)Louis F. Kerr; m2) Samuel Wright Williams), Martha Jane (d.young). Only clue to Susannah's parentage may be the McKendry middle name of one of her daughters. Otherwise have not been able to find anything on her. Probability is she was born either in SC or NC.
