Searching for parentage of ADAM SKAIN, born c.1753, died 1845 Butler Co., AL. Fought in RW from SC around what became Union District. Brothers John and Peter. John killed at Cownpens. Another Skain lived in the area by the name of Nicholas Skain (wife Rachel Ashby) but not known if related. Not indicated as brother as were others mentioned so possibly a cousin? Thomas and Nicholas remained in SC but by 1825 Adam Skain moved with his wife (Nancy Turner?) to Butler Co., AL. Adam drew a RW pension.
