I am looking for the ancestors of Charles King b.1750 Hanover,VA d.1836 Botetourt,VA. m.1787 Rebecca Bess b.1752 Botetourt,VA d.1839 Botetourt,VA. He moved to Botetourt County,Rich Patch,VA around 1771. Militia, Rev War Pension. He had one son John King b. 1788 Botetourt,VA. Hanover is one of the burned counties during the Civil War so I do not have any records from Hanover on him yet. 8-07, YDNA testing indicates my line of Kings come originally from the highlands of Scotland, MacGregor Clan. There are no matches with Kings of English or German origin. I suspect Charles' father or grandfather was transported as a prisoner(Covenanter or Jacobite)and would likely have been indentured.
