Information on Letha Jane KILLIAN Hood Newman (Neuman),born 11 Oct 1822, Lexington, Lafayette, Missouri, married Joseph Armstead HOOD and Elijah NEWMAN. Pioneers. Letha came to Utah in around 1850. She drove a team of two oxen by herself until her brother met her and drove the rest of the way. She brought with her; her two daughters from Joseph Hood and Elijan Newman's daughter from a previous marriage. After the death of her husband, Elijah, Letha moved to Idaho (reason unknown). Death Date: 30 Aug 1898. SPELLED: NEAUMEN Burial Site: Hot Springs Cemetery, Bruneau, Owyhee County, Idaho. Row 3, Block 31, Number 7.
