William A. POWELL b. 1811 TN married Jane Unk. @ 1840 TN. Children: Wm. M b. 1841 TN; Henry Clay-Feb 1846 TN; Nancy A-1848 TN; Thomas J-1851 LA; Mary V-1854 TX; Unk male 1857 TX and William 1861 TX. Family ended up in Limestone Co. TX where Henry Clay married Amanda C.SAWYER, dau. of Wm. G. Sawyer and Sarah A.F. WILBANKS. Henry Clay and Amanda had five children: Nancy A. b.1872; Anderia Tiney America Jul 1874; Wm. Thomas 1878; Sarah A. 1879 and Oliver H. 1885. This family was in McLennan Co. TX 1880. After Amanda died, Henry Clay married his widowed sister-in-law Catherine Frances "Franki" Sawyer WOOD and were in Hunt Co. TX 1900.
