I'm looking for the family of Mourning CARTER (1813 GA-aft 1890 AL?)who married Reuben BALL (1801 SC-1890 AL) in Coweta Co. Ga. on 20 Sept 1832. Reuben had a brother, James H. (abt 1792 SC-1855 AL), who was in Henry Co., GA for a while (married to Dicy MITCHELL and Obedience (also married to COMPTON) ?). Reuben and Mourning moved to Talladega Co. AL. Their parents may be William (1770 VA- 1827)and Mary BALL. Benjamin BALL (1800 SC-?; married in AL in 1850) may be their brother. Would like proof. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
