I am looking for information on my great-grandfather, Alford Milton HACKER. He was born 23 March 1871 in Brutus, Clay County, KY, to Granville Levi HACKER and Rachel BURNS. Alford was previously married to Emma Cooper. They wed 9 January 1891 in Magoffin County, KY. One child, Bessie, was born to Alford and Emma. Bessie was raised by Alford's parents. The union between Alford and Emma ended in divorce. Alford's second marriage was to Orlena DAVIDSON. They wed 20 July 1893 in Clay County, KY. Thirteen children were born to Alford & Orlena. Three of them died in infancy. They moved to Williamson County, TX in 1895 and remained there until 1903, when they returned to Kentucky. In 1907, Alford and family moved to Fort Cobb, OK. From Fort Cobb, they moved to Pauls Valley, OK. In 1924, Alford purchased a farm 8 1/2 miles west and 2 miles south of Minco, OK. Orlena died 30 July 1933 in Chickasha, OK. It is believed she died after gall stone surgery. Alford died 28 January 1943 in El Reno, OK. Alford HACKER and Orlena HACKER are both buried in Friendship Cemetery, as are several of their children. Alford had donated the land on which Friendship Cemetery is located. Friendship Cemetery is southwest of Minco, OK. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
