 Looking for any information about James Adams b. abt 1790 in TN according to Census, he married Catherine Thomas abt 1824 in NC. and had Henry Clay Adams 1825, Samuel Madison Adams 1826, Barsheba Adams 1831 in NC, then went to Ray County MO where James got government land. Family lore says they came from a place called Little Laurel in NC. James died or was killed just before the 1850 census. The other children born in MO were:Mary Jane Adams 1835, Benjamin Franklin Adams 1839,Cleopatra Ann Adams 1841, Henry Clay Adams 1843, George Washington Adams 1847.
