I am seeking to locate biographical information about one of the Davis families of District 12 of Fayette County, Tennesee. Lanson (or L.L.) Davis was probably born around 1821 and lived in Fayette County for along time. He is recorded in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses in District 12. I seek any biographical information about this family, in particular the three generations: Samuel Davis, born in 1854 or 1855 in Fayette, and his son William Fenton Davis, born about 1881, who served with the Tennesee Volunteers in the Spanish-American War of 1898. If possible, I would be interested in purchasing your services to find out if any members of this family would be mention in county histories. Thank you.
