In a 1880 census, my great grandfather, Stephen Harper (55, farmer)and his second wife, Mahalia Harper, were living in the Walnut Creek township, Edgecombe County, N. C. Burl Peebles, 14 years, a male was living with them. All three were born in N. C. I want to know about Burl Peebles. There are some Peebles and Harpers in Lenoir County, N. C. Burl Peebles was probably born in 1821. Can anyone tell me how he was related to my great grandfather or his wife? All of my great grandfather's children were grown and gone from home. My grandfather was Franklin Harper. Mahalia was a Morgan before she married. Please reply. Josephine Ardelia HARPER Long ("Dee") | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
