Early 1900s. I am looking for information about Emma MacDougall Check, who had four children. 2 sons unknown. 1 daughter died young. Daughter Ethel(Commonwealth of Virginia)married Alfred Porter (brother of Grace Porter, father of Doris Caesar) of New York and had 3 children: Jean Cornelia (b. 1914), John (b. 1916?), and Lachland MacDougall (b.1920) Porter. John & Lachy (Braden) now deceased. Jean Cornelia m. Edwin Thurston Green of Cambridge, Mass., three daughters.
