Looking for GGgrandfather. William Copeland worked for the Hudson Bay Company. He was born 1865 and died in Kingfisher, Oklahoma in 1941. He married a blackfoot indian chief's daughter and had four or five children. My grandmother was one of his daughters. Her name was Opal Copeland Summers. She was born 1898 and died 1965. Thank you. Update, I have two census that were sent to me from Kathy in New York. William Copeland was in Elk County, Kansas in 1910 and Logan, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma in 1920. This is my family. I am now looking for my William Copeland in Kansas. The census show children by the names of Mabel, Adeline, Opal (my grandmother), Edith, William M. on the 1910 census. By the next census Fern had been born. Vinnie was his wife. I would also like to know the name of his first wife who was the Blackfoot Indian. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
