I have a Jesse ANDERSON, b. abt. 1788 in Claiborne County TN, d. 8-4-1855 in Putnam County IN, married to Jane MILLER, daugher of Martin Luther MILLER from Germany, 8-16-1809 in Claiborne County TN. Jesse served in the War of 1812 as a Private under Colonel William Johnson and Capt. James Stewart in the 3rd Regiment East Tennessee Militia. I then have his father Thomas ANDERSON, b. abt. 1730 in Grainger or Claiborne Counties in TN and died in 1825 in Lawrence County IN, married to Mary ???. Looking for more info on Jesse ANDERSON. And also for more info on Thomas ANDERSON, more exact of when he was born and where? Also "ANY" info on Thomas' father, William ANDERSON, because I have zip on him. Was told William possibly came from Scotland to Virginia or the Carolina's. Their ancestors migrated to Putnam and Lawrence County IN and then from there to Christian County MO. Can any one help? Thanks, Diana (Anderson) Cope http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/a/n/d/James-D-Anderson-MO/index.html | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
