I am trying to locate any further information regarding my great grandmother & grandfather, John and Mary Dales Carter from Pike County, KY. John was born in December 1870 & died in 1909. Mary was born in July 1871 in Buchanan County, VA, and died in 1976 in Pike County, KY. They had at 13 children, but only five lived to adulthood - James, Thurston, Della, and Myrtle, Elster. Myrtle Elizabeth Carter (my grandmother) married Ballard "Steve" Slone and lived on Lower Chloe in Pikeville, KY. Any information is appreciated. Thank you.
