Query Text: |
I am interested in learning more about my Smith, Davis, Kinlaw side of my mother's family. My grandfather was James Hezzie (Hessie) Kinlaw of the Littlefield area of Robeson County. My grandmother was Ada Neil Davis Kinlaw of the Smith's area of Robeson County. My Kinlaw paternal g grandparents were Sandy & Callie (Smith) Kinlaw. They are all buried in the Kinlaw graveyard on the Tar Heel Road near Zion Tabernacle Church, Lumberton. My maternal g grandparents are Johnathan Davis and Lena Burney (possibly Burnette) Davis. Lena Davis' mother's name was Eliza Burney or Burnette. She was possibly originally from Raeford and was sent to live in Lumberton with a relative due to a pregnancy by an Indian man. They are all buried in the Davis graveyard on the Tar Heel Road near the Big Swamp area. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
