Hi I am looking for the Hoefer/Haefer family. Charles Phillip Hoefer was born in Wausau Wisconsin Dec 9, 1883. His parents were born in Germany. Charles moved to Trial BC Canada in 1900 and lived there until his death in 1957. Charles had a sister Helen who lived in Spokane Washington. Helen was born in May 6, 1886 (place unknown) she died in Spokane Oct 12, 1976, apparently she was not married or was married and her husband died early in their marriage. Charles had another sister Elizabeth who lived in Portland Oregeon who husband owned a large bakery in the 1940's. Elizabeth's husband may be John Fluhrer, but I am not sure of this. There was a Elizabeth Hoefer who married a John Fluhrer in Spokane and they lived in Trail BC where Charles Hoefer lived. It looks like they moved on, and I hope that this may be the Elizabeth in Portland. I would like to find any information about these people and their family, when their parents came from Germany to the USA. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
